Dopes anybody out there have the RasterOps DuoMate. I+m fishing for comments. One thing that I+m wondering aboutquite a bit is how it fits into the Duo. From the pictures I have seen it looks like it might make it a little hard to transport the Duo under your arm safely without removing the dock. Is this the case?
It looks like it sticks out quite far behind and I+m worried about the tension in the docking mechanism. Any comments would be helpful.

I have one a love it. Yes it would be difficutl to transport the
Duo "under your arm" without removing the dock - but that's why
I bought a Duo. I leave the dock at the lab, and when I take the
Duo home or other places I go "dockless".

It's also the thickest mini-dock - so it doesn't fit easily into
a slim brief case. If you want a more portable option I'd look
into newer technologies micro docks (same form factor as the
floppy adaptor) you can get a video one or a scsi one (not both
in one item). Then there's always the one that other company
makes... what was there name? Oh Apple computers! :)

(and if you want a *really* transportable dock that gives you
scsi, video out, even internal floppy - check out the newest
Duo - the 165. :) )

Seriously though, if you need specs drop me a line.

Just got it. My thoughts:

- Haven't tried to carry it with Duo attached.
- Seems to stick out the back by 2" to 3".
- "Snaps" into Duo, but I wouldn't pry on the union.
- The bottom of the Duo (underneath the 150 pin port) sits on a part of
the Doc (like a wedge). Seems to form the same angle as when the feet
on the Duo are down.
- Has pins on either side of the port that fit into Duo.
- Covers power plug on Duo, but has a power port in the Doc.
- Not very heavy, wouldn't transport Docked though.
- Must shutdown before undocking.
- Can't use old style floppy drive connectors with floppy port :-(. I
assume the their style connector matchs the Duo floppy drive. Didn't
want to by a new drive, had a 1.44 external super drive with old connector
already, going to look for converter cable.
