Has anyone heard anything about a possible G5 PowerBook?

Yes, I've heard that they are possible. ;-)

If you're more interested in "how soon", you'll probably need to find
someone in the know at Apple who doesn't mind risking their job by
leaking the secret...

Lots of people have heard "something" but nobody who can say anything
knows anything reliable. It's a ways off, though. That much can be
reasonably judged based on what we _do_ know. Specifically, the closest
thing Apple has right now to a G5 laptop is the new iMac ... and it's
not especially close.

I'd be moderately surprised if we see a G5 laptop before we see a
dual-core G4 laptop.

Yeah, and as hot as those puppies would be running, I'd be hesitant to use
it on my lap. More of a portable desktop.

More hot than the Pentium 4 2.X Ghz laptops?
