terminal.app not working as it was

Hi all,

I am not sure how this came about but when I load Terminal.app I get the
following:

/Applications/Utilities/Terminal.app/Contents/MacOS/Terminal; exit
lorenz:~ cy$
/Applications/Utilities/Terminal.app/Contents/MacOS/Terminal; exit

See /usr/include/servers/bootstrap_defs.h for the error codes.

CFMessagePortCreateLocal(): failed to name Mach port
(com.apple.Terminal.ServiceProvider)

It keeps reloading and exiting till I ^C. I am new to the OS, I have
10.4.11. Any help appreciated, ty!

Terminal.app for Tiger.

I've had it happen a couple of times with X11.app, but never with
Terminal.
