Acrobat Reader allows you to read PDF files, which are frequently used as
a format to put documents online. See http://www.adobe.com/ for more
details.

Adobe Acrobat reader allows you to display, read and print
documents that were authored with Adobe Acrobat. Acrobat produces
a "portable document file (.pdf) which can be viewed on any machine.
Acrobat documents can be formatted with typefaces and graphics
and you don't have to have any application other than the
Acrobat reader to view them. Acrobat documents are also usually
set up in chapters and sections and are hyperlinked similar to
web pages. A great many software and hardware mfrs are including
their on-disk product info and documentation in Acrobat pdf's. You
will find much of your Pagemaker info in this form. Pagemaker is also,
I believe, capable of exporting files in pdf form, though I'm not
quite sure.
