He might want to look at the SE section in "Macintosh Repair and
Upgrade Secrets" by Larry Pina ($34) if he doesn't know the specifics
about removing and installing the powersupply. MacProducts wanted
$130 to repair my Plus power supply, and I got a kit to do it for $50.
Another third party company would swap it for $90. But I think the SE
power supply is a lot less complicated than the Plus's, so if he could
just buy the parts that he needs, then he might save a lot of money,
but if he needed to get the whole thing, my guess is that the margin
would be smaller.
