MBP / NAS /PC

Hi,

I have a MBP, a Qnap NAS and a WindowsXP-computer.
I do backups from MBP > NAS and from WIN>NAS.

But there seems to be some compatibility issues.
I can't see all "MBP-files" from the Windows-computer and vice versa.
I can see (and work with) MBP-files on the NAS from my MBP.
I can see (and work with) WIN-files on the NAS from my Win-pc.

What am I missing? Network-setup? File systems incompatibilies?
I would have thought that when using a network ressource everything
should work - but not yet :-(

Any hints and/or suggestions?
