Hey all!

I'm wondering how upgradeable the hard drive in a PowerBook 5300cs is. I
have access to a 2GB IBM drive (model DTNA-22160). I installed it in the
PowerBook, but the formatting software I have (Anubis 2.54s) doesn't see
it. The software has no problem seeing the stock 500MB hard drive (which
is also an IBM mechanism). I know Anubis 2.56 is out, but I don't want to
spend the moolah to buy it if this drive won't work in this machine. The
mech works fine in a Compaq laptop I have, so it's not a problem with the
drive.

Anyway, if anybody knows of a good page that talks about these things, or
has any experience putting larger drives in a 5300cs, I'd appreciate a
reply here (or preferably in E-Mail). Thanks much!

The original drive likely has Apple ROMs

Drive Setup 1.3.1 has formatted all kinds of stuff that previous versions
would not. Try that, or DS 1.4 (the current version), first.
