This is the first time I've tried to read a data DVD and it won't recognize the disk. Reads and writes CD's fine and will read a video DVD fine. Anyone have an idea of what to do to get it to read data DVD? Thanks in advance.

Bob

dvd+r.

just about anything available these days does both dvd+r and dvd-r.

Thanks again. Are you saying most combo drive don't read it but dvd-only drives read them all?

no, what i'm saying is that any dvd drive made in the last several
years should read both + and - media.

I see - but have to give up on this DVD. Maybe the person who recorded it forgot to finalize it or something. Thanks for the help.
