I recently received an old SE/30 that's in pretty sorry shape, and
needs some work done. I don't have all the tools and the parts I need,
though, so I was hoping that someone out there could tell me:

Where can I get a case cracker?
Where can I get a replacement front panel?
Does anyone know if a monitor from a Mac 512 will work in an SE/30?

Thanks in advance!

Don't need one. Place the machine face-down on a towel, feet toward you,
and firmly grasp the sides with your fingers. Place your thumbs on the
back such that one of them is on the connector for the power cable. Push
steadily and firmly with that thumb.

I usually take apart the SE and SE/30 case without one. Take out ALL the
screws, and with the Mac facing down, grab the sides with your fingers, and
with your thumbs push down on the power connection, and the motherboard
connections. Should split just fine. If you have all the screws out.

By monitor, I ASSUME you mean CRT, and yes, they'll interchange. You will
have to interchange the yokes however.

Some of those compacts were still hard to separate. I use an old credit
card and jam/twist it in the faceplate groove to help loosen it. Some
people use a small bulldog clip. You did take all 4 Torx15 screws out,
right?

If the case has been opened enough times, you can just pull it apart
after unscrewing the screws. I don't know about the '30, but in the Mac Plus
there was a screw in the battery compartment. If the case is still stiff,
you just need something flat and thin to put into the groove and apply
pressure. One of those large "paperclips" (I'm suddenly blank about their
official name) was suggested in more than one place, and that's what I used.

You might want to look into another compact Mac to see if the dimensions
are the same. If not, then look for an SE, which are probably more common
than an SE/30. After that, another SE/30 would supply the front panel,
but unless it's in bad shape, you can just migrate to the second /30.

There is no "monitor" as such in the compact Macs. There's a logic
board, and then an analog board that has the electronics for the monitor
portion. On the original Mac through the Plus, this analog board is combined
with the power supply board. But I gather on the SE and SE/30 there is
a separate power supply. I can't imagine why they'd have used a different
CRT in the later Macs, those compacts all had a 9" CRT.

I'd forgotten about the placement of the ones in the grip.

When I opened my Mac Plus, the long Torx screwdriver forsale at the
store was too costly for me, given that I'd only use it to open that
Mac. So I simply got a Torx bit, and used an available piece of
tube as the handle/extension. I slotted it so the bit would fit in,
and taped it together. Worked fine.
