My bluetooth mouse that came with my MacPro worked just fine for quite
some time after I bought it. But lately it is frequently losing
connection and then it re-establishes connection. But this is happening
more frequently up to every five minutes. So, is there a fix? Is it a
mouse of computer problem?

Thanks
Lyndon

Have you tried:

* removing the batteries from the mouse and replacing them
* turning Bluetooth off and back on on the computer
* rebooting the computer

I had done all that, but looking around the web I found another solution.

1.the spring devices to maintain battery pressure, I just moved them in
and out a few times to make sure they were free.

2. I use rechargeable batteries, took a newly charged set and just
rubbed the ends of the battery where they make contact briskly on a
rough cloth for a bit to clean up the ends.

Now, no more lost connections since last nite!

Thanks
Lyndon

Well that's good to know. Thanks for the report.

I actually had a set of original OEM batteries leak into the inside of a
Magic Mouse *while the batteries were still supplying power and the
mouse was still working*. Ugh. I ended up having to take the mouse
apart to clean the leaked fluid off of the spring fixture. What a mess!

That often happens if you store items (or don't use them for a lng time)
with the batteries still in, but I haven't had it happen with an in-use
device. That is why most electronic toys ship without the batteries
installed.

Many years ago we used to have a couple of hand-held LCD games and the
button / watch style batteries were left inside when they were put in a
drawer ... the batteries leaked and correded all the contacts. :o(

Moral of my story: ALWAYS take the batteries out of electronic items when
they are put away.

One of many reasons I dislike the current trend to wireless and portable
devices.

Yeah. I haven't had it happen to me either, before this. : / It was
quite a surprise.
