Hi All!
I've been playing SimFarm, but I'm frustrated by the limited number
of crops you can grow. I've thought about messing with the files,
(There resources you can find pretty easily with ResEdit), but I
chickened out-- there's a *whole bunch* of stuff in each crop
resource. I could figure out how to mess with crop paramaters, such
as crop name, chill hours/degree days, etc. but...
I picked up the SimFarm Almanac, and at the very back was an insert
card from Leaping Lizard software (which I assume is Eric Alber's
private software company, or something...) which had a special offer
for a crop editor(!)-- it allowed you to modify everything about the
crops, including what the graphics would look like, and added access
to a few bytes not used in the normal release. It sounds
GREAT...but... IS THIS AVAILABLE FOR THE MACINTOSH? There was no
indication from the card, and since this was originally released,
and for a long time only available for, the IBM, I'm worried that
there might not be a mac version.
Does anyone know if this is available for the Mac? It was only
$15.00, but still, I'd like to know before I go to the trouble.
Thanks in advance for any information. E-mail is fine, but I think
other people on the net might not have heard about this little
tidbit and would appreciate the news.
