I recently picked up The Sims, plus all the expansion packs up to and
including Vacation, at a discount software house type place. Got them all
installed on my G4 TiBook running OS 9.2.2. Everything plays beautifully.

I installed the games in the recommended order (The Sims, then Livin' Large,
followed by House Party, then Hot Date, and last, Vacation). All of the
expansion packs appear to be playing nice with each other.

Now I would like to be able to play these games under OS X (10.2.2 Jaguar).
Unfortunately the Aspyr site is pretty unclear (at least, to me it is) as to
what I need to install, and in what order. I see updates for both Classic
OS (8/9) and OS X, and for some packs (most notably Hot Date and Vacation) I
don't see any OS X updates/installers at all!!!

It would be very helpful if someone out there could tell me (along with the
rest of the world, for I am sure that I'm not the only person with this
problem) exactly what files I need to install, in what order, that would be
greatly appreciated.

I looked on the Aspyr FAQs and wasn't able to find any useful information.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

This is just a quick follow-up to my post asking about how to upgrade The
Sims + all expansion packs for OS X. I got some information that answered
my question, which I thought I'd share with the newsgroup in case someone
else has the same question: It turns out that installing "The Sims:
Vacation" automatically upgraded all of the other Sims packages to the
latest versions, as well as installed a Carbon version of the application
(which works in both OS 9 and OS X). Problem solved!
