Somebody on a 68K Mac, tell me that Im not missing out on a neat game. ;)

Makes me wonder.
The author obviously used 4-bit colour to get sufficient speed. While this
might not be needed on the PowerMac, including 8-bit colour would mean
duplicate graphics, as well as having to possibly redraw all of the art.
It would also mean a bigger download.
Every Power Mac can do 4-bit colour off of the DRAM-based video. You need
to buy an adapter for non-AV monitors.

Delirium has never been advertised as PPC-nativce, it's just PPC-compatible.
4-bit color was used so that even lowly Color Classics and II's can run the
game at full 60 frames/sec speed. See, one of the features of this game is
that it'll run at full speed regardless of the hardware you own. And
besides, most PPCs _can_ run 4-bit color if you use the high-density video
port.
