Actually it is possible though...
head for a mountain! Seriously, since you can't crash, you are flung up in
the sky at Mach 6.9 or whatever. Pull up your gear and get going!

Talk about psychotic...:-)

If you want to put Emo Fittipaldi in his place--> Make sure the crash
option is off in the difficulty box. Once you get airborn, make sure your gear
is down. Nose into the ground/water. Keep "driving" long enough and your speed
will gradually increase. You have to keep the stick forwards to keep from lifting off.
I topped out at mach 6.9. You can't take off again until your speed drops
back to about mach 2.5. It a great way to explore.
I'm running Hornet on an LC475 and sometimes if I fly around long enough
the whole thing just freezes with the sound still going and I have to force quit
out of the program. This only happens rarely but it's kind of annoying. Anyone
got any suggestions?

If you are using 1.1.1 or before, you can leave our planet also. :-)
Make sure the crash option is off, and don't take off until the
speed is reached to about 1000 knot. Then take off, gear up, full AB,
and start climbing. Your Hornet will climb to the space forever.
Don't forget to look back. You will find a surprising fact about the
world. ( I think someone should report it to NASA. :-)
If you want to back to the earth, use the ejection sheet.
