Daedalus: orbs, claw, then...?

To those who have finished Daedalus Encounter, I need a spoiler!

I got the 6th orb. When I gave it to Zack&Ari, the fountain behind
them went away and an object appeared in its' place. They dropped
all six orbs into it. Next I found myself facing the red door again.
"Okay, I guess I need something else" I figured. After a while I
discovered how to get the alien claw. I brought it to Zack and he
tossed it aside. "Okay, time to play with the 'video altars' some
more". So I played with them, and stored the 14 language patterns.
Then I went everywhere sending various patterns at things.

I give up. What the heck am I missing? I've enjoyed the game til
now, but I'm getting bored. Someone *please* just tell me what
to do to finish things up.

Pick up the claw and yur little "sputnick" buddy will stick on top of that
pillar. Then the "real" fun starts (prepare to die a LOT).

BTW if you figure out the final battle sequence, email the info back to
me. We did it once and finished the game but for the life of us we can't
do it again. Driven us nuts.
