Has anyone tried running Myst III Exile on the G5, specifically on Mac
OS X 10.3 "Panther"?

I've downloaded the 1.22 patch and the OS X version patch, and it seems
to run fine, except that whenever a full-screen movie is played, the
sound is really choppy, and cuts in and out every second or so. The
video is fine, as is the background music during the movie, and the
sound in any movies that don't fill the screen is also fine.

Anyone got any cunning tricks to fix this? My machine is a DP 2.0GHz G5,
Radeon 9600 and upgraded to 1GB RAM.

It works, and it even fixes the sound problem, but unfortunately it
introduces a more annoying bug where your mouse control leaps around
randomly a couple of times a minute.

Ah, damn. Otherwise you'd think a G5 would run classic in proper speed for
these kind of things.

Have you checked what other processes are running, with Activity Monitor
or the terminal? Maybe something is not being very nice.
