An official map of the known portions of Puddleby Island is now
available at

http://www.deltatao.com/clanlord/puddlebymap.html

It's not very detailed. Mostly it shows where Tanglewood is relative to
the Northern Plains, that kind of thing. I don't think it has any real
spoilers, but if you're serious about your strict-play option, don't
look at it.

I made that map, and I don't claim to be an artist. Any volunteers to
make it look good?

I agree. It looks like a real map that someone from Puddleby could have
scrawled on a piece of parchment.

It's very nice :) We really need this type of map, although I'd put in
a little more detail with regard to player-created names of areas. For
example lable a part of the coast south of town "Kitty Beach", but have
it general enough that all it really does is give you a feel as to the
general location of the place. An orga camp sign in the middle of the
Tangle Woods would have the same effect ^_^

Great! Very nice poetic map (a term used in paper RPG for a map that
would be found IC). I think it looks great the way it is.

It's a secret I think. Notice no big "PATH HERE! PATH HERE!" signs
bliping here and there. Of course it would add a bit of, aghhem,
spark... to the work but I think it's just fine the way it is.

Excellent job Ann and much appreciated! Just needs the location of
Trillbane's library on it and it would be complete! <g>

The one that's there now, since a day or two ago, is not mine. I'm not
sure whether the artist wants public recognition, so I won't mention
the name, but I appreciate the improvement.

It looks great!

Isn't it normal to attribute artwork unless the artist specifically asks to
remain anonymous? If you're actually not sure whether they want recognition,
you might email asking how they want the attribution to read, and let them
decline it if they want to. Assuming that they don't want attribution might be
kind of like assuming they don't want thanks.

That's the system we normally use.

> might be kind of like assuming they don't want thanks.

To assume that a contributor wants attribution is kind of like assuming
that a player wants it widely known that the PWC for his characters work
with GMs on the game. It may sound odd to you in the context of
artwork, but we use the same system whether the contribution is a map,
an area, monster AIs or GM-assistance.

Rest assured that the artist is aware that credit is available, if
desired.

Warren, you have just confirmed (for me) what I suspected since you
began posting here. You took a very clear and common sense post by
none other than Ann GM, took a few tokes from the doobie you just
rolled and completely perverted her point in an attempt to make it
sound negative. Where exactly did Ann assume?

Ann: "I'm not sure whether the artist wants public recognition, so I

won't mention the name"

Warren: "<toke> Wow...Ann is so harsh! <toke, toke *cough*> she
ASSUMED that that d00d din't want thanks! <toke *snort*> Doesn't Ann
know what they say <hack hack> about those who ASSUME? <big assed
toke> That makes them assholes."

In all seriousness Warren...you are beginning to sound like someone
who just likes to get a response. I ASSUME thats what you yearn for
anyhow.
You just dissed Ann. What is in that fatty anyway?
