Anyone played the shockwave demo and lived? I like the feel and action. I'm
able to kill a few baddy ships and those spidery mechs, but the space baddys
never miss (almost) and i don't know what to do to regenerate. The sound on
this PPC is miserable and I can't quite make out all the messages. Any clues?

Fly (slowly) under the round rotating ships (they are refuelers) to get
more lasers, shields, and fuel. Sorry I didn't include this information
in the Read Me file!

I haven't heard anyone complain about the sound before... I assume you
are using the built-in speaker on your machine? Hook it up to some real
speakers--I think you'll find that it sounds much better.

The game, by the way, was released last week.

Thanks for the kind words,

Uh.... what round rotating ships? i've only managed to survive long
enough to make it to the first small town, with everything along the
way beating the crap out of me while getting there. Also, i think
it's a bit unfair that the enemy ships can wander off the path to
get behind you and waste you, but if you stray from the path to stay
on their tail, you take damage like mad.

IMHO, it has potential, but the time i spent downloading the demo
was a definite waste. I wouldn't recommend it.

later,
gary
