Is Punkbuster broken for the Mac?

I can't get it to work under Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory :-( I'm on a
mid-2007 24" iMac running 10.5.5.

Uggg... Punkbuster just seems such an awful, awful idea when they can't
be bothered to update it for anything but Windows (so it seems).
