Hello all,
I have been using Yahoo Messenger for years now (complaining about the
poor feature set and the lack of decent updates all the while).

These last few days, I started encountering a very strange problem with
a friend who also uses Yahoo Messenger 3 on her Mac. Simply put, file
transfers from me to her are broken: when I try to send her a file, she
doesn't get any notification at all, and therefore cannot accept it.
This had happened in the past too, but usually after a couple attempts
it worked. Now, nothing I try works. I even tried to send files from the
menu item rather than just dropping them into the chat window.

With other people it works perfectly, both with users on Windows and
even with other Mac users. I had her trash everything related to Yahoo
inside her Library folder, but it stlil doesn't work.

The funny thing is that I can get her files without any problem. I have
no idea about how Yahoo's file transfer work (does the sender connect to
the recipient, or what?) so I can't even fiddle with the router issues
and the like. I haven't found anything about it, though.

We both use Version 3.0 beta 1 (build 18274).

Does anyone have any idea of what else we can try?

Thank you very much in advance
