Thanks - Kath
That's why I consider ClarisWork unusable for professional writers and
college kids.
But the best choice for home users and high school kids.

Dear Kath,
there is no way to do TOCs and indexes in ClarisWorks, as far as I know.
(This is probably because ClarisWorks only caters to the low-end users who
don't really need these features.)

Here we go with another person describing ClarisWorks users as
"low-end users." Yang Jun, do you know how insulting, and how wrong,
that is?
There are millions of copies of ClarisWorks out there. The users of
this product are doctors, businessmen, creative people, and professional
people of all types.
Why denigrate this product to low-end use, when everybody's needs are
different?
ClarisWorks is a powerful program that has many uses. However, Kathy
has needs that it does not provide. That does not make Kathy a high-end
user, or ClarisWorks a low-end product.

I'm in the graphic arts in NYC. We are the biggest service facility in
NYC. We use PhotoShop, Illustrator, QuarkExpress, Freehand, etc., etc.
NONE of these applications can do it all. NONE.
Saying that ClarisWorks isn't a superb application is nonsense. Look at
how much memory it uses and check out its features. Nothing comes close to
how robust it is.
IMO, ClarisWorks is the best for small to medium businesses and home use.
I use it all the time for my own personal work, while I use PhotoShop,
Illustrator, QuarkExpress, and Freehand at work.
I'm very happy with ClarisWorks.
