I frequently get this warning web page in my browser. Usually it's when I
open Safari and choose "Open all windows from last session" in the History
menu and it tries to open all the old URL from yesterday. But sometimes I get
it when I type in a URL.

When I click on "Continue to web site" they turn out to be innocuous sites.
One frequently blocked site is MacFixIt.com

Why am I seeing these? How can I stop them from occurring?

I Google this phrase but nothing useful is found.

Thanks,
Dave

You should learn to use Google, then:

Seriously? Copy the title of this thread, embed it in quotes as in

"This link is not authorized by Yahoo"

and let Google respond. The second link has all the information you
could want on the subject...?

The quotes tells Google to search for this as a phrase rather than a
collection of words that may exist throughout a document.

All the Googling in the world hasn't turned up how to disable these "we know
best what sites are good for you" warnings.

How do I disable the interruptions? They don't seem, in my case, to be all
that accurate in detecting bogus sites.

I think you'd need to petition Yahoo to stop doing it. Good luck with

Send responses to the relevant news group rather than email to me.
E-mail sent to this address may be devoured by my very hungry SPAM
filter. Due to Google's refusal to prevent spammers from posting
messages through their servers, I often ignore posts from Google
Groups. Use a real news client if you want me to see your posts.

Yes, search engine 101.

If using Firefox (or any other browser for that matter), go to the browswer's options and delete Yahoo from the search engine list. No one should have to put up with that baloney from Yahoo or anyone else.

Nah. Just another Google Groups idiot responding to ancient posts.

I did that, Yahoo still does it, it didn't work. Firefox 51.0.1
Any other ideas? Malwarebytes didn't find anything...

You have a time virus, or else Yahoo has. One of you is of the mistaken
impression that it is 2017. Try setting your clocks correctly to 2009.
Malwarebytes won't work then because it won't have been invented yet.

The comp.sys.mac groups need their alternative facts dosages increased.

You have some Yahoo toolbar shit installed or something. Check your
add-ons.
