I found this useful a couple of months ago (Thanks to originator Bob
Meyer!):

I own Flowerscape and stopped using it when I discovered it did not
give a
top-down view of your garden nor did it allow a true plan with
dimensions-all it had was pretty pictures of flowers and shrubs. I
found
a great one called Mums the Word Plus by Terrace Software which had the
features I wanted. It was about $80 and I bought it from the authors.
They can be reached at Terrace Software, P.O. Box 271, Medford, MA
02155.
The phone is 617-396-0382. I bought the product about 3 years ago, and
don't know if they are still in business. Check out some of the
gardening
sites on the web, or do a search on gardening software.

REAL PROBLEM...

I really want a picture type program where I can start with a photoscan
of the present site and then

-scoop away a hill into a terrace, and

-move trees etc (in Photoshop?)

to make a Capability Brown-type presentation of the 'possibilities'.

Does anybody have anything like that?
