No, but there are numerous shareware and commercial packages available
for Mac users to read newsgroups. I use MT-Newswatcher. You can find
this software and tons of other Mac applications at
http://www.versiontracker.com and also in the downloads section of
Apple's own web site.

You can put a header in your message saying 'X-No-Archive: YES.' This
doesn't guarantee that all archives will honor the request, but Google
plays nice and doesn't archive such messages.
