Has anyone here used Bit Torrent or Torrent Bits? I have downloaded the
client for OS X but it doesn't seem to do anything when going to the Bit
torrents web site.Any help would be appreciated

I think some clients allow you to just click on the bit torrent link, and
the download should start automatically. I found that right clicking on the
bit torrent file, downloading it, and then double clicking on the downloaded
bit torrent file will start the download process.

James.

Well that worked on getting on but I never get connected. One file said
connecting to peers with a 0 for 8 hours. Am I doing something wrong?

Also if you are on a network you need to check if the ports used in
the BitTorrent run can be opened to the outside world. At home I had
to change the settings in my router/firewall to allow the outbound
connections. YMMV. I have used BitTorrent
(http://bitconjurer.org/BitTorrent/) by Bram Cohen very successfully.
In particular it is about the only way I can get a copy of Knoppix in
any reasonable time.
