The new save dialogs incorporate both better navigation
and option-clicking names -- the two main reasons i used
Default Folder.
Is there some other important function in Default Folder
that I'm missing... some reason to not dump it besides
the fact that I paid for it?
Is anyone going to stick with Default Folder?
Why?

I bought it in 01/2003 because everyone raved about it. Used it until
Panther, but I had failed to get what the excitement was about, so gave
it up. Not knockin' it, mind you, just sayin' it didn't ring my bell.
Guess I would be willing to give my serial number to one person -- that
would be legal, wouldn't it, because I do not have Default Folder
installed or archived, and I would keep no record of the serial number.

Yes, definitely.
> Why?
The window menu.
4) The terrific new global hierarchical menu.
5) The hierarchical menu in the dialogs.
6) The ability to choose from any open finder window.
7) Ability to remember files and folders opened from Finder, not just
from open dialogs
8) Some really cool upcoming features I can't tell you about.
In other words, Default Folder is getting better even faster than the
Open/Save dialog is. m.

Um, maybe, you know, the feature that it's named for? Not to mention
the list of recent folders, the rebounding to the most recent file,
selecting open Finder windows, and so forth.
It is slightly less necessary in Panther, true, but having paid for it,
I can't think of a reson NOT to run it.

Default Folder shows you recently accessed folders.

Hey! Are you trying to get bribed?
(I wouldn't dump DF either, if only for the ability to go to a an open
folder in a save dialog, just by clicking on it)
