failure of diplomacy. The people who want war most are those who stand

The misery of the Great Depression was ended with the misery of WWII.
WWIII when it finally comes, will come about for the same reasons WWII
did, with the same cloaked and hidden interests driving it.
That's much of why the current patterns in intolerance, racism and
sudden mass economic malaise are so disturbing...this MF has all
happened before and before and before that.
Capitalism was allowed to run amok, devouring Democracy. Capitalism
requires a leash, not a body cast. Democracy is that leash. The
absence of Democracy, as pathetic and F'd up, sloppy and often corrupt
as it can get, is human nature's darkest side. Show me a modern
civilization that had mental health, prosperity, widening opportunity
and advancement for its citizens going for it that wasn't also a
Democracy. I'm honestly curious to see what it is you seem to see in the
displacement of Democracy.

him credit for. I knew a guy who used to run around with McCain; he
was a lobbyist for casinos. The guy, I'm afraid to disclose his name
here, has said that McCain built up several Native American casinos in
status and made a fortune for the local tribesmen. His ties to casino
magnates cannot be brushed aside. Several of his casino friends have
raised millions of dollars for his campaign.
From what I've read he's quite the talented businessman.

Well, in the first instance, I am ideologically opposed to Marxism. The
form of government I would like to see put in place is a form of Fascist
Corporatism as outlined by one or two recent posts I made. The reason
is as follows:
What we call Democracy is, in fact, Capitalist Democracy. In other
words, this nation is a plutocracy where finance controls the outcome of
the democratic decision-making process.
Britain is in grave peril. Laissez faire has resulted in dependence on
other nations for food and fuel. Our economy could be bankrupted due to
the actions of other nations, deliberate or otherwise.
Ever since the 1930s, globalisation has meant that poorer nations have
been given our technology and been allowed to use it in order to
undercut British production.
Immigration is a grave threat, particularly to England. My other post,
'Why they are doing it' outlines the case that the neo-Marxist political
elite are filled with loathing for our culture and history and wish to
see it destroyed in order for it to be replaced with an egalitarian
state. Even if all further immigration were halted, birth-rates from
the foreign population alone could see the English people being an
ethnic minority within their own lands.
Quite simply, the reason I support Corporatist Fascism, at least in the
short-term, is because the democratic process has failed us and can not
be trusted to save us. It is the only means by which the threats that
face us can be averted.
Ironically, a Corporatist Fascist state would be far more democratic

First, in my almost 10 years of participation and observations of
ABusenet, no exchange of OT ideas between two people has met with one of

When profit is the _only_ motive, out goes safety, children's
protection, health, compassion for workers and decency. *THAT*'s why
protesters have attempted to disrupt every single "Global Trade" meeting
around the planet. The Dickensian world is quite real. Fires, maiming,
children worked to death, (falsely incarcerated) prisoners worked to
death ( www.slaverybyanothername.com ), -all the history of man.
Third- IMO, There's something inherently twisted about insisting on the
the extent to which a facist anything would have one iota of Democratic
anything going for it. It's like oily water, an acidic base, dry water,
cold heat...

What I will agree with you on is that the extent to which McCorpocracy
has sold out and, in the name of the $$$ rich at the top, pac-manned
