Well it happened yet again a few minutes ago. I brought up IE 7 and Vista
responded by opening over FIFTY FUCKING IE Windows. So far this is the
fourth time it has happened in the last year and a half. I looked it up
and several other people have reported this "feature" of Vista. Extremely
irritating and UNFIXED in SP1 after over a year of the problem occuring.

Sounds like 1) incompatible third-party addon(s), 2) malware, or 3):

Yet if anybody but john had this problem, that person would be called a totla
incompetent boob by john himself.

I have removed the addons. How did I get malware with Vista? I sure
can't detect it. And it happened on a CLEAN install of Vista when the
machine was new.

I didn't upgrade from XP to Vista on that machine. The machine came
with Vista ultimate on it.

I installed Vista on this machine three months ago, 2.4 Pentium single with
512 RAM. It installed perfectly and has run perfectly since then including
Aero. All I can say is, it must be you.

Vista doesn't "run perfectly" with only 512 M of RAM. Try again with
your lies.

It runs good for me. Because it doesn't run good for you means something is
wrong, most likly with you.

This problem is due to moronic user error.

Hmmmm, another "Mactard Advocate" who spends all day on a Windows
machine like Dave/Alan/Sandman!

It does not run good FOR ANYBODY with 512 mb of RAM. Vista requires
almost 700Mb just to load fully.

You don't know what you are talking about. I am running it on 512.

But you're too technically incompetent to realize it is not "running
perfectly".

I have it on good authority that you need a built in card reader.
That will solve all your problems.

First off, Vista help should be seeked on Vista NGs. My reponse is
more of a rant then a help. Few months ago I bought Sony Vaio laptop.
Hardware itself is fine. Infact great. Temping thing for me was the
price, I only paid $500 Canadian dollar for it. Pentium Dual Core, 2
Gig Rams, 200 Gig hard-drive, and nice wifi, and few extra nuts and
bolts.

Bad thing? It came with --- Vista. I knew before buying this machine
that Vista was a bad thing. Since I am a Linux User I was going to
install Linux on it + dual boot it with XP Pro. Even so I decided to
give Vista a try. Loading Vista would take over three minutes, and
hard-drive would be spining for about three minutes + all thoese demo,
semi functional software would loaded at the start of the machine.

Within 30mins I partitions hard-drve, loaded Linux + Windows XP pro.
And it was running nicely. I must say my used mini mac is the only
computer I had that I didn't got throught this type of hell. In
anyevent, my next brand new computer will be osx.
