Wow. An Amazon product gets a boost from...

...Amazon.

Oh, and Amazon itself acknowledges that the Kindle isn't cannibalizing
iPad sales when it says:

"We're seeing that many of the people who are buying Kindles also own an
LCD tablet."

Not sure. But Amazon is a big online retailer (biggest?) so I assume
it's a lot and they are cannibalizing the shit out of the iPad sales.
Doesn't help that the iPad is utter shit for an eReader.

Wow, such reliable numbers.based on "two people who are aware of the
company's sales projections."

"But it sparks another dance of guess-the-sales-numbers, which happens
every time Amazon makes a sales announcement that lacks sales figures.
Are they bigger than a breadbox? Are they smaller than the Icelandic
economy?"

It's much easier to figure out the real numbers when the company
actually publishes them like Apple does every quarter.....

No. That's what you claim: that somehow LCD tablet sales in general

I never used Amazon's sales rank to show how *many* Apple products
were selling, only that they were selling well. Apple publishes the
number of iPhones, iPods, iPads, and Macs it sells every quarter. It
also announces how many "iOS devices" it sells at certain periods so
it's easy to calculate how many Touches it sales.

The fact that you can root it doesn't turn it into the kind of tablet
that Amazon was talking about. The Nook is an e-reader.

You look cute - did you make your moms proud? Maybe if you try real hard,
maybe someday you can become a mirror star.

For you - it's perfect.

He was a lonely boy no good at sports
He couldn’t run his legs were short
He walked the streets inside his head
And spent a lot of time in bed

He practiced on his way to school
His friends all said you’re off the wall
He played a tight elastic band
His mike was just his empty hand

Mirror mirror mirror star
He posed in front of every car
They all called him crazy kid
He ran up to his room and hid

He greased his hair with Vaseline
And practiced looking really mean
He saw a face that’s going far
He posed right there with his guitar

Heads in the clouds on school reports
He’s always lost in other thoughts
Makes no difference shut them out
He’ll be a star someday no doubt

Mirror mirror mirror star
He posed in front of every car
They all called him crazy kid
He ran up to his room and hid

Mirror mirror on the wall
You’ll never treat him like a fool
In his room he is the king
The wild applause is deafening

You see his face on every wall
From Camden town to Liverpool
He lays a groupie when he’s down
And wreaks the best hotel in town

The kids hang round to see his face
And wish that they were in his place
Reflection plays the Mirror maze
Cause posing helps them make the grade

Mirror mirror on the wall
You’ll never treat him like a fool
In his room he is the king
The wild applause is deafening - The Fabulous Poodles, Mirror Star

Tim Adams has been trolling me with his sig for years... though in all that
time he cannot find any quotes by me to show me doing wrong.

After *years* of not responding in any significant way (I occasionally
mentioned it - and Adams would insist he needed something from me to be able
to change his sig) I finally decided to respond to his trolling. Instead of
just posting accusations against him, though, which is moronic, I quote his
actual stupid or perverted claims. Well, some. There are many, many more.
Here are those claims:

The tilde by itself points to the user folder.

~/Desktop goes to the user's desktop folder. I can make a video of that for

It is not like this is hard... but Tim Adams is not competent to understand
