Apple Disappoints.. iTunes 9 is bad!
If your a apple fan, you should read this post, if not, ignore it.
Just upgraded to itunes 9 today and i'm very sad to find that in grid view
they change the background color from nice grey black to bright WHITE. It
fits horribly against the album artwork and movie covers. It just simply
looks horrible. Whats worst is there is no option to switch the color. Apple
TV, Front Row, iPhoto, all have nice black backgrounds. I remember i used
white for a Powerpoint once for school and the teacher gave me a F cause i
didn't use a nice background and white is plain and boring. At least in the
design world, you simply never just choose white. It's bland.
Wrote a small letter to apple since one or twice, they actually respond back
and do listen, I just want black back. Will see if it works.

I just upgraded to iTunes 9 and at first impressions the UI enhancement
where nice until i saw the grid view. Why WHITE? Out of all Colors, white is
the most brightest, annoying color to put anything as a background to. Would
Steve put a white background to his keynote presentations? Simply put, at
least bring a option for people to chose between white or grey or black for
grid view background. All the album art work now looks horrible against the
white and especially in a dark room at night, it hurts the eyes and doesn't
look as good, and many people online, already agree. This is so not apple.
5000 Songs and been using iTunes for 5+ years, and this is the first ever
iTunes upgrade that i'm disappointed. This isn't apple's Style. Apple TV,
nice elegant Black background, Front Row, black background, iPhoto black
background, All very nice and well designed. I can only imagine the disgrace
in so many customers if you were to switch all of those to white. So Please
bring black back.

In iTunes:
Preferences > General > Grid View
will give you the option to set the background back to dark.
