although I don't know if somebody will hear me
in this abandonded group, I'd like to ask if
somebody knows details about the pinouts of some MVME boards.
In particular the serial RJ45 on those (unnamed) I/O modules which came
with the MVME187 in the Motorola Delta 900 series.
Pointers to references are also welcome.
Googling yielded only the fact, that those pinouts aren't
standardized industry-wide, so no wonder my home-made cable didnt' work
out :-(
best regards and TIA,
MK

The pinouts for the P714F as the IO board was properly known are:
Console Ports 2-4
1 - no connect 1 - DCD
2 - RTS 2 - RTS
3 - GND 3 - GND
4 - TXD 4 - TXD
5 - RXD 5 - RXD
6 - GND 6- GND
7 - CTS 7 - CTS
8 - DTR 8 - DTR
There's one (maybe 2) other RJ45 ports, one's for the environmental control
cable located next to the SCSI connector. There also may be an ethernet
(10BaseT) port ...
Regards

should that be correct, jack viewed from the outside ?
At least that's the way it works with my boxes.

yes, there is one.

BTW, information about those old Motorola boxes (900 as well as 8000
series) (naturally) is very scarce.
Do you know about web-sites or other sources of information,
besides the usual suspects m88k.org and badabada.org ?
best regards,
MK
