I have a Toshiba Tecra 8000 300MHz Pentium 2 system with a built in DVD
drive. When my battery is fully charged, the system tells me that I have
power for 2:10 houres. On Toshiba's page, I saw that the Toshiba should last
for et least 3 houres.
Why do I have such a short battery running time? Is there a way to increase
it?

Thanks
R. Baumann

It is dependent on all the battery saver options you choose to setup in power
management, plus the meter is only indicating an approx amount of time left,
based on the machines power consumption setup.

What you see is normal.

And It really will last a least that long . the gauge is just a good guess .
depending on what you happen to be doing
