I have a Toshiba Satellite 1625CDT. The cooling at times seems to run on and
on forever. Is the any way to controll this manually? Toshiba isn't any help
with older stuff.
Thanks
JEP

Yes, there is a DOS fan on/off utility that is normally used for
diagnostic testing. However, shutting the fan off could be catastrophic
and might damage the unit. The fan is thermostatically controlled, and
if it's on, the unit presumably needs the cooling.

The stupid thing is running right now. Not really using anything. Sometimes
I can do many things and it will run and then, like this morning it started
running from first boot. Really annoying.
