Hi,

Recently I got a 'new-to-me' refurbished X201, with an Intel
Core i5 M 520, 4 Gb RAM and 120 Gb SSD. I run OpenBSD on it.

Any things to know about X201's? Weak spots, things to keep
an eye on?

Thanks,

Best regards,

Matto

It is in German but you can use Google Translate.

For me it runs hot. Posts on that German wiki forum linked mirror my
experience. Worth reading them. Fan is quiet though.

I don't use it for much else than fooling with the car as it is very
portable for that. I find the docking station useful, and that's cheap.

On Windows 10 (an early build - 1903?), if ye disconnect an external
monitor via switching connections via a VGA KVM (Belkin Omniview Pro3),
it autoswitches to the internal LCD - and if ye are unlucky to have the
lid closed, the machine either goes to sleep or crashes.

Though that could be Windows 10 being too "helpful", I've not had much
luck trying to disable this behaviour.
