I have a question about the Read-Write access. Two users are accessing an
alg file, let`s say another user has read-write access and I need to edit
an alignment in that alg file so they assume read-only and I pick up
read-write. I then edit the alignment. Now how do they get the alignment
revision beyond closing and reopening InRoads? I assumed that there was
some type of ``update`` but have not been able to find one.
If I understand this correctly an update could be lost. Take for instance
what I previously said. I edited an alignment then I give up my read-write
access for read only and the other user then selects read-write now they
edit the same alignment. From the way I understand it they would be
editing the version of the alignment before I made my revisions. Therefore
copying over my version. Is that the way this thing works or am I missing
something.
Thanks,
Rob
I have answered your questions to the best of my knowledge below.

When that person is finished they save the geometry project and only the
geometry that is writeable is saved. You need to open the alignment project and
overwrite the existing information in memory to see the change. You do not have
to get out and restart.

Yes that's true. The scheme has it's faults that need to be improved. Before
releasing geometry you need to save to disk and the other would need to open it
again.
