Hi there,

Does anyone know how to send control characters through a RPG or DDS to a
printer. I am doing some experiment to control the printer through a
RPG/DDS. like setting up CPI, LPI, FF, Fonts and etc..etc....

Thanks,

Zak

As I recall, this was a 5th Level spell: "Printer Fury".

Now if you set up Final Fantasy (I presume this is what you mean by FF?), it
may be something different.

Glad I could help!

I think you are labouring under a false assumption. The newsgroup
comp.sys.ibm.pc.games.rpg is not about the RPG programming language. Here
we talk about RPGs, namely rocket-propelled grenades, and ways to use them
in challenging and exciting games of strategy and tactics. (Naturally we
only use IBM-compatible rockets and grenades, because they are far superior
to all others, lending a whole new dimension to the term "fear, uncertainty
and doubt".) As such, please do not post to this newsgroup in the future
unless you are willing to talk about rocket-propelled grenades.

I think you pick up CPI in Nashkell, mayber Beregost. I don't know about
LPI. I guess you could call them "control" characters, I mean, you DO
control them, but I think most people call them NPC's.
