ICS announces a simpler upgrade path for user interfaces built with UIM/X.
(Note: Advanced Interface Composer (AIC/AIX) was the product name IBM used
for UIM/X, a GUI builder originally developed by Visual Edge).

Our solution provides a specialized converter (uxtobx) that directly
translates the native save file format of UIM/X into a format that can be
directly read by ICS' Builder Xcessory PRO product. This is not just a UIL
conversion where you lose all your generated code and face weeks, if not
months editing code by hand to reconnect your GUI to your application. Our
converter is unique in that it preserves your investment both in user
interface design and code. It is also extensible. Through the use of XML
configuration files, the user can extend the converter to translate almost
any user interface that was originally built with UIM/X.

And once you convert to Builder Xcessory PRO, you now have the most powerful
Motif GUI builder at your command. Take a look at BX PRO
http://www.ics.com/getbxpro to see what you can do. You will quickly see why
we've received the Linux Journal's Editor Choice award, and top reviews by
Open Magazine, Linux Format, Linux Journal and Computer Shopper.

More details on the converter, along with a free download, is available at:

Cheers,

Mark
