I can't make it run 2 sessions at one time. When I open the second session, it closes the first session.
I can't make it automatically open the printer session. I have to open my display session, then manually open the printer session.
It has a "Custom" toolbar, but I can't figure out how to customize it.
Any answers out there?

I have done maybe 100 of these over the years and never had the
problems you mention (related to one session closing another). The
nice thing about the nlynx es line is that the software is the same
(look feel, and works) if you are using the es/3twin card, the es/pci
card, or going es/tcp.
Never customized the toolbar, so can't answer that one.
Are you on XP or vista? Never dealt with one on vista (never plan
to), but want to be sure that you are going in, configuring the
session, naming it, and that is the shortcut then you have brought to
the desktop. I have had pc's that have had 3 different es/pci cards in
it, talking to 3 different adv/36's each with 2 or 3 sessions each.
Right now on my desktop, I have more than 1/2 dozen of es/tcp.
As far as getting the printer to "open automatically", you can put it
in the startup menu and that is what we do. The printer session is
independent of the terminal session.
So provide a bit more info and I will see what I can tell you since
never had a situation of one session closing another. Tell me what
you see in the configuration tree.
You should see the board and below it, the 2 or 3 or 4 sessions
whatever and the printer, is this what you are seeing?
Yes, brand new out of the box.
> Are you using version 5.106 or 5.107
It is 5.106, I just checked. I will get 5.107, just assumed I had the latest version since it is brand new.

Well, I probably should have used it a few more days before posting any questions, but I was anxious. The "Open another display" folder is right next to the "Open" folder. The "Open another display" folder looked to me as if it was grayed out so I never even pointed at it or clicked it until today. You are of course correct, that if you use the open another display, then it does just that, opens an additional display. The color of the icon just made me never look at it.
If you use the "Open" icon, then that is when it closes the first session before opening the second session.

xp

Never would have thought of that. Thanks.
I am having to switch from BOS to nLynx. Thought I had a little more time to do it. I knew BOS was not going into the future, but now Windows Updates to XP is causing some of my BOS PCs to lock up when you try and start BosaNova. Only solution is to uninstall the windows updates. And with all of the Microsoft security updates, we can't keep not installing security updates. Right now it's the older boards/software with the problems, but I ain't paying BOS to update the software when I already know they're not going forward.
Bos's card always showed up on the Device Manager with the old yellow question mark under other devices. nLynx shows up under it's own category "Twinax Adapters" and no yellow question mark. Kind of gives an IT person a little better feeling about the product. ;-)
Also just started playing with ETU36. Seems like it won't be too hard. Can you use ETU to execute a command on the PC side?
