Hi,

Does anyone here own a IBM 8366 Thin client? It was last IBM thin
client model and seems to have 733 Celeron. I am interested in other
specs it has. Free Pci slots? CF card slot? etc. I have never seen this
model but would like to find one to replace my 8363(Cyrix 233) with it.

I don't have one, but
ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/pc/pccbbs/network_station/qb3a5q00.pdf
appears to be able to answer your questions about it.

Not yet.

One

For sure:
PS/2 KBD/Mouse
2x USB
2x serial
1x parallel
1x Monitor (Onboard Intel Shard Memory graphics)
1x 10/100 Ethernet
1x Speaker/Mic/Headphones
2x PC133 SDRAM sockets for up to 256 MB per socket (512 MB max.)
24-35 Watt Power consumption while running, 18 Watts in Suspend

Presumably:
IDE Port onboard (The N70 was based on the Netvista 6568, 6569, 6648,
6649 Series), but IIRC, this one was occupied by the CF Riser
Card by default, so using both CF and IDE at the same time *may* not
be possible.
Dunno exactly if the N70 had a HD mounting bracket. If not, the one
from a 6568 etc. should fit just fine.

What about mounting a 8364 planar in another NetVista case that has a HD
mounting bracket? There used to be empty cases from Netvistas on ebuy.

Good question. I'm not aware of any Netvista case which could be
used without major surgery, as the 8364 Mainboard's formfactor
is non-standard.
The N70 uses a modified PeeCee Mainboard (IIRC manufactured by
Gigabyte) in standard micro-ATX format.
