External 5.25" floppy drive

connected via an adapter card made by Sysgen( PSA1055). I have downloaded the
file 525drive.com from IBM and expanded it, then added the line
DEVICE=C\DOS\$FDD5.SYS to the CONFIG.SYS file and restarted. On startup, I get
the message: Diskette Device Driver $FDD5.SYS Version 1.0
Diskette Device Driver was not installed.
Any ideas?

Just a reminder, turn the external drive on first. Its possible that
only the IBM external expansion card will work with their external drive
(may be non-standard wiring).

The SYSGEN does not use the drivers for the IBM (!) external drive.
It came with a set of own files. I'll try to dig them out from my dungeon
archives and send them by e-mail. May take a while however.
