Hi there,

I have to make choises and with some regret I will part from my PS/2
stuff. This is what I have:
1. 95 type 4, running at 180MHz (200MHz Pentium 1)
128 MB memory,
XGA-2, 2x F/W SCSI adapter,
Olicom MCA 10/100 network adapter
4.3 GB HD and CDROM player.
2. 95 type 4, without processorboard, (blew it...)
128 MB ECC memory, CDROM-player.
4x 1 GB HD's, XGA-2, F/W SCSI adapter.
3. 95 with 486 processorboard, 16 MB memory.
Future Domain SCSI adapter, IBM SVGA,
CDROM-player and 3x 1GB HD's.
4. 77i Lacuna, running at 133MHz (Evergreen AMD X5)
Future Domain SCSI adapter, 2x 1GB HD's,
CDROM-player, 32MB memory.
This Laguna has that special audio front!

I never had soundcards for the PS/2 's.
Then there is a box with all kind of cables, memory modules,
486 and Pentium 1 processors. A cady...
3x 4.3 GB scsi HD's, 2x 3C529-TP and 1 with coax connector.
SVGA card, 1 Future Domain SCSI adapter,1x XGA, and some loose stuff.

This all is free and only for pick-up. I live in the N-W part of the
Netherlands... not that easy for you to get.
I have one condition: if anyone is interrested, he has to take it all.
No best pickings. Bring me a bottle of Dutch Courage to comfort me....

George.

I imagine that shipping will be ... heavy ... so pick-up only :-(
Sigh ...

Hi George !

Wow, quite a collection. I hope you find them a good home.
Wish I could get there, I would have a truckload of Dutch, or any other kind
of Courage for you.

:-)

I cannot pick up all of it, though I can pay for it: What I urgently need
for my Server 95 is (1) a better complex and the (2) the power on/off
daughter card (the switch is faulty on mine). I have to prepare the machine
for the holidays at the end of the year when I will have time to resume
suspended work.

How much courageous comfort can change your mind? ...;)

Are you referring to the 8595/9595 single serial port power switch
(single LED, no HDD LED) or the 95A switch dual serial port power switch
(power and HDD LED)?

95A switch dual serial port power switch (power and HDD LED) - the on/off
switch is on the left, the LED panel on the right above the eject button of
the FDD. I actually managed to wire an external switch but it looks ugly.

Nice set! I can see why you'd need some painrelief when separated from these
. . .

Sadly though, I'm not in a situation at the moment to house them properly.
So, even though I'm probably the csiph-member closest to you, I must pass.
Maybe in a couple of months I'll both have the space and the time (Stephen
Hawking can you hear me?) to collect them (and maybe part stuff out to
interested members?), soooo, if you're willing to hold on to them that long,
let me know.

It'd be a really big shame to let them take a dirt-nap.

Bob,
Just an aside: how often should the screen/filter on an old carb for my
1941 Chrysler be done? It has the glass sediment bowl, does that have
to be cleaned also?

Good question. Hard answer.

It depends. :-)

You may need to clean it often, you may need to never clean it. Depends on
how much "stuff" is in your gas tank.
And these things are delicate/tricky. Sometimes it's obvious that the filter
is clogged, and I have seen filters that appear perfect, but are completely
blocked.

The bronze sintered filters ( which I don't like ) are really not very good
filters, and are hard to discern when blocked. And that is usually what is
in your sediment bowls. Get paper pleated filters if you can.

You have to take it out and examine it. I have seen "regular" internal carb
filters ( bronze sintered ) that looked great, but you could not blow
through. Hard to do that test with your filter. :-)

Another thing to be very careful of is overtightening the filter bowl. That
die cast top section bends very easily ( believe it or not ) and if it gets
excessively warped, it will leak. Nearly impossible to find replacements.

Bottom line, if you're really concerned, conceal a "later" filter under the
vehicle, like a METAL can inline filter, and use it for a while. Then, pull
it, cut it open ( it will have a paper element ) and examine it. If it's
clean, chances are you won't have to worry about the sediment bowl thingy
for a while, or ever.

Have fun with that old car !
