I have aquired the above card an have no idea as to what it fits.
the card is silkscreened "IBM Corporation 1995" as well as "3/94V-0"
and "ATDB9525"
The card has 4 cappacitors at the bottom and 2 sets of 4 72pin gold
contacts. card is not much wider than sockets and a 2 section gold card edge
connector.
Any answer to this puzzel would be apreciated, thanks in advance.

Hi !

2 sets of 4 sockets ?
Sounds a lot like a PowerPC or RS/6000 internal memory riser card.

Is there any 7-digit "FRU" number mentioned ?
The number 96G1351 does not show up in my data ...

Hi Pete !

>Could also be the mem riser from a PC Server 320, etc.

That's why I asked, because that's FRU 96G1339 (320/520 M-models).

Usually there is either the number or a sticker.
That additional "94V-0" says nothing - it is a board marker that can be found
on most printboards and is a quality/material/safety related sign like the UL
label.

Hi Peter,
P/N 96G1351 stencilled on the board.
Looks like we have a match!!
Though this one has 96G1354 on a sticker, but then I've rarely found
Australian built IBM numbers to match ones in the HMM, etc.

-Pete.

Pete and Peter,
Looks like you are referring to the memory board from a PC Server 320
(8640-MYO). I got the one out of mine and it has the same number on its
sticker. My 8640-MZV has one sorta like it but with an extra tab with 2
chips and a bunch of smd's on the end oppisite from the connector.

Okay, okay ... I shutdown "starship", opened it and took out the memory board.
It is an 8641-MZS Server 520 with the MCA/PCI board.

The card has 4 caps at the bottom, 2 x 74ABT244 at the top, 2 x 4 72-pin memory
connectors and a sticker in the mid between the 2 4-groups that reads "96G3659"
in the middle.
Quite some SMD resistors and caps "rubbish" splattered all over the card as
well.
A silk-screened number in the top / righthand corner says "96G3656 Rev1".

None of these numbers shows up in my EPRM ... :-)

So is that -about- what we are talking about ?
