The Miles drivers for use with SVGA AW, apparently, are
of special design. They are made for protected mode use.
When I tried to use the current digital Miles driver for the GUS,
gf1digi.adv, SVGA AW V1.13D told me that the file is not the correct
format.
My question is whether or not a Miles driver for the GUS can
be made for use with protected mode? My assumption is yes,
since drivers exist for the SB, SBPro, and PAS16.
Actually, does one exit currently? Are these 32-bit
miles drivers meant to run in protected mode? (Sorry,
I'm really clueless) Also, with regard to ultramid.exe,
can it be run in protected?
Thanks you.

It may be the same problem that Privateer had...
There is a patch for this on klingon.epas.utoronto.ca in the directory
/pub/pc/ultrasound/game
called ailpatch.zip which should fix this problem.

Forte are programming protected mode Miles drivers for the GUS
as we speak. Ultramid can't interface with protected mode
programs.
