Anyways, I just bought a pair of Sony's 80 watt SAVA-7 Dolby Pro-Logic
speaker systems and their sound quality is excellent. There are two speaker
modules to the set and each module contains a front speaker facing forward.
Another speaker about the front drivers on an angle to produce a center
channel, another speaker behind the module on top facing backwards-up to
produce a surround speaker, and a subwoofer for each module. You can also
connect an external center and surround speakers if you don't want to use
the speakers on the module. Besides Pro-Logic decoding, the system also has
4 surround modes: live, stadium, game, voice, and of course regular stereo.
There are two line inputs so you can also hook up your CD Player or anything
else to the system without having to unhook the inputs from the computer.
Even better, you can mix both inputs so you get computer sound and the other
input's sound which the volume can be adjusted manually for each input. And
there is also a fixed output, which can be connected to a sub-woofer for
more bass. I got these guys for $298 Canadian, and found that they are much
better sounding than spending 300 dollars on a set of regular stereo
speakers. I played the 007-Tomorrow Never Dies, DVD on these speakers and
boy, do they ever pack a good punch.
I still have 15 days left to return these if I am not happy, and was
wondering...Have I made a good decision or should I send them back for
something better?
