AWE32 SF2 GM soundfont 8megs?

Does anyone knows where to download a good gm soundfont? or some other
sf2 files. I've just upgraded by soundcard with 8megs memory and eager
to hear it to its fullest. Thanks, Phong.

The best 8MB soundfont is the one from Emu itself, though you have to
purchase it from its web page. The 8Mb soundbank which is around the
Internet is pathetic. There's a good 5MB sounfont which will surely improve
over the default 1Mb ROM sample. The file is named 5mbgmgs.sf2 (or zipped).
You can find it in several AWE related pages.

Hi all. I am also looking for a good 8mb gm soundfont for my soundblaster

was in a .rar format, which I am unfamiliar with. Am I missing something?
Can anyone tell me where I can download a good 8 mb gm soundfont for the

Well, if it was .rar it's propably packed with a program called RAR..
I don't know where to get RAR but it's so popular that finding it
shouldn't be a problem:)
