Ok I have a few questions I'm hoping people can help me with.

1) Is it true that a computer can only play sound, from one sound card at a
time? I have multi monitors and want different sound at each monitor.

2) If I install a 7.1 Sound card to play movies and music and gaming in my
basement is there an electronic way of setting up the sound for a certain
position or multiple sitting positions? I'm thinking of placing a microphone
or something in that position and adjusting the sound to "Perfect"?

More specifically is there a sound pressure level (SPL) meter that can be
run and automatically used on a PC.

Probably not the best forum for discussions about audio interfaces. Try
rec.audio.tech.

Absolutely not. If you can install audio interfaces with a certain number of
channels (say 24) you can activate each channel with an independent sound.

That's dependent on the features of the specific sound card.

It's not quite that easy.
