HELP: Ahead Nero 5 Has lost track of my CD-R drive!

Can someone please help?

Ahead Nero 5 has lost track of my CD-R Burner!!

It used to work fine.

Now it no longer sees my burner drive.

I have tried everything.

The AUTO-DETECT function is grayed out.

I even tried downloading the latest ASPI driver and put it in
c:\Program Files\Ahead\Nero\

That is - wnaspi32.dll

to no avail....

Anyone have a clue as to what is wrong?

Do you still see it in the windows Explorer? Or is it just Nero that has
lost it? Do you remember adding or removing any applications immediately
before the drive stopped working?

Yes I did, unfortunatley.

Thanks to the advice of folks in Usenet I got Force Aspi and that
fixed the problem 98% of the way.

I can now get Nero to burn CD-Rs again I am happy to say.

Just hav that annoying Aspi driver message at start up!
