Tux Paint is a drawing program for young kids.
It's free software, released under an 'Open Source' license.

This means you can download it for free, copy it and give it to friends,
and install it on as many computers as you wish! You can even examine and
alter the 'source code' to the program, if you know how!

Tux Paint runs on a number of computer platforms, including
Windows, Mac OS X, Linux and BeOS!

Tux Paint 0.9.8 was just released, and is already available for Windows.
The recent versions now include translations to Japanese, Chinese,
Romanian, Polish, Greek and Indonesian... Tux Paint has now been translated
into nearl two dozen languages! (Others include Spanish, French, German,
Italian and Korean... to name a few!)

Tux Paint for Windows is available both as a double-click-able
installer application (.EXE), or for those who prefer, a self-contained
ZIP folder (so your Windows registry isn't touched).

And don't forget! If your friends, or your child's school has Macs,
they can still use Tux Paint too, if they have Mac OS X! :^)

Enjoy!
