Tux Paint is a simple and entertaining drawing program for young children.

It's being developed as Open Source software, which means it's free to
download and share.

Tux Paint is easy to use:

* Large buttons with clear icons
* Only the controls needed are shown
* Large, context-sensitive mouse pointer shapes
* One-click saving; no need to enter filenames
* Thumbnail-based loading

Tux Paint is entertaining:

* Fun sound effects play as tools are used
* A helpful cartoon character explains how things work
* "Magic" effects can be applied to pictures

Tux Paint is secure:

* File access is limited to picutres drawing using Tux Paint
* The "Quit" button can be disabled
* Tux Paint can be run in fullscreen mode,
or with the mouse and keyboard "grabbed"

Tux Paint currently runs under Windows, Linux and Unix.

It has also been translated into numerous languages:

Spanish, French, Italian, German, Portuguese, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian,
Dutch, Icelandic and Turkish
