Does this card work well at 40 Mhz or not? Has anyone done this, and if so,
did you encounter any problems this card with any specific VLB I/O card?
Thanks.
Dave
I'm running the Diamond Stealth 64 Video 2meg DRAM VLB on a 486DX50 system...
Initially, I had major problems in Windows with GPF's out the wahzoo. I
talked to Diamond tech support (and Hercules as well, as I was thinking of
taking the Diamond back and getting a Hercules Dynamite). Both of the tech
support departments assured me that a VESA compliant VLB card is rated up to
40 MHz but not 50... So, you should be OK on your DX4.
BTW, in the "happy ending" department, I got rid of the screen saver program I
was using at the time and haven't had a GPF since! Still running the Stealth
64 at 50 MHz... :)

I've been running my Diamond Stealth64 DRAM VLB at 50MHz for almost 6
months now! It's scores at 50MHz are much much better than at 33 or
40MHz... I love this card!!! except that Diamond hasn't released the
f*cking drivers for Win'95 yet... growl...

I'm running my Asus PVI-486SP3 at 40Mhz with my Cyrix 5x86-120 with no
problems...actually, I'm getting outstanding performance from the
video card (Diamond Stealth 64 VLB w/ 4 Megs of VRAM)
